It sounds like you can just switch the cables. Plug the X cable into the Y socket, and the Y cable into the X socket. Any moves down what used to be the X direction will now go down the Y direction and the old Y direction will become the new X direction. Option2: Don't use Mach3 to slave anything just enable your XYZ axis as usual then wire the A-axis driver in parallel to the Y-axis driver. If you want the same rotation for both A & Y then you are done. If you need A to turn in the opposite direction from Y then you need to invert the DIR signal coming from the STB5100.

Slave Axis. In Mach3, you can use up to three slave axes, but it does so by utilizing three of the six coordinated axes. Hence in Mach3, you can control a total of six stepper motors. Re: Mach3 Slave Axis problem. If you only have one switch, Mach3 won't square the gantry. If the two sides are moving different amounts, then make sure the homing speed for both axis is the same. If they are the same, and it's going out of square while homing, then yes, two switches should help.

Hi I tried the A - Axis home negitive with no result. steppers tried to go in differant directions (well it seems like it) I also tried to find the "home slave with master axis" undar genral config with no joy what so ever the version of Mach 3 i have is 1.83.027 im guessing that feature is in a more recent version?

These files can only be used with Mach3 version 1.90 or later. Using an .m3s file is fairly straightforward. Download the file. Double-click the file (this should pop up a "Screenset Installed" message after which the .m3s file will automatically disappear) Open Mach3 and load the screens like normal.

I am running with MACH 3 and NVUM V2 usb interface. All 3 axes have their own home sensor and in addition the slave also has. Has two steppers on Y axis. (A as a slave). Everything moves perfectly and home everyone works too. First Z, then Y and finally X. The problem is that the system does not look at A home sensor.
